1. Teakwood: burmese food in hayes. try the hen of the woods mushrooms and tea leaf salad. their coconut rice is A++

2. La Mediterranee: dedicated vegan mains — Vegan Lamb Kibbeh, Vegan Kafta Meatballs. try the roasted chickpeas (they’ll have them at dinner time as a starter)

3. Beit Rima: mediterranean food - mezze platter is a chefs kiss

4. IPPUDO San Francisco: ramen downtown. the nirvana karaka is just so good

5. Sohunan: chinese food so authentic you can taste the smoke. the tofu dish is the best i’ve had in the city

6. Proposition chicken: the fake chicken burger has an oh-so-perfect bun that will just make your mouth water and you can’t eat it fast enough

2. Palmetto Superfoods: best acai and smoothie bowls in the city, very customizable. don’t hate me for placing them in desert category
